During the Critique I described my proposal and the intention to investigate further the issues of Diaspora in line with my Dissertation and the fact that the media can distort the facts when reporting about such issues. I also want to research the way in which we identify with a culture and a homeland.
Helen suggested that I look at Mona Hartoum and the work that she has created that relates to national borders. I then spent time watching the following video which gave me quite a bit of insight into the work of Mona Hatoum and how she approached the subject of Mapping. – See Independent Study 1 – Research
