Emrys advised me to find a way of connecting with the theme so that I can work with the content on a deeper level.
I reflected that my connection with the theme is my link to the Scottish Diaspora and hope to develop my work around my Scottishness and the fact that I consider Scotland to be my homeland and the fact that I feel I don’t belong in Wales.
Emrys advised me to research Christian Boltanski, Annette Messagy, the Boyle Family, David Bohm and Alan Watts. – See Independent Study 1 – Research
I also created some ink drawings of imaginary maps as another way of representing borders, roads, rivers, boundaries, coastlines.
