I photographed the shirts in my back garden and did some close up photography too. This is as a trial run for an image that I would like to photograph up at Llyn Celyn where I intend to string a washing line between the signs at the entrance and display my shirts on these.

Over the Easter Holidays I began to prepare some collage work on shirts with a view to using this as part of the final piece. This is to conceptualise the domestic connection of the situation, the fact that the valley was filled in so that the residents of Liverpool could wash and make tea. Some of the iron-on transfer paper was nearly 20 years old and past it’s best, however it did the job that I needed.

I began to prepare some images with a view to using them as iron-on transfers with fabric/shirts. The images have to be reversed so that when they are viewed in their final state, they will be the correct way round.
