Monday 1st May 2017 – Digital Book
I created a Digital Book to include with the video on the assessment day. Below are the proofs.
I added the quote below to the first page as it particularly moved me and I felt it reflected my own personal feelings about the Refugee Crisis.

I felt it important to include something from a refugee who is experiencing the crisis first hand, the poem below really shows what life is really like for the Refugees.
If you are in EKO station
You will see the real dehumanisation
You don’t have the right to have
to love, to get small inspiration
You are just a number
For another greedy nation
They will never see you as a human being
Just a creature they threaten with deportation
I wish that I was dead in Syria
Rather than be in this situation
I am not sure what you can call this treatment from the best civilisation
Despite this all
We will not break down
We are the strongest combination
To cross the mountains
The desert the borders
To make the sea our last destination
To be Syrian that means to suffer in every way
In your imagination
I spent time creating a list of words that I could include in the Digital Book that describe typical stereotyping names. Once I had my list I created the following Wordles using WordItOut to represent the Words more graphically.
The quote I added to the last page really does show that we will never completely understand what the life of a refugee might be like.

Monday 24th April 2017 – Tutorital
Today I had a tutorial with Emrys and we discussed my ideas for an interactive video which I hope to produce for the Assessment Day.
My idea is that I create an interactive front end where the audience can interact with the video by choosing the elements they would like to see. This type of video is often used in a marketing environment and used to collect information through questionnaires and provide information as part of the video.
